Has your Z4 roof stopped working?

Classic telltale symptoms of a waterlogged/seized motor are;

You press the "lower" button, and the roof unlatches from the windscreen, but then nothing happens, no motor noise, and usually a flashing red light - 99.9% of the time, this is due to a water damaged/seized motor!

It's well known that the location of the electric roof motor on the Z4 Roadster is simply ridiculous. Over time, even if the "drains" are cleared, the motor housing fills up with water, and whilst the motor may continue to work for a while, it's only going to end one way, the motor will stop working and then start to rust, eventually seizing solid.

Now BMW will relieve you of close to £1500 to repair this, and will then remove your roof, before putting your shiny new motor, back into the same place, all ready for it to get destroyed again!

I can refurbish & relocate your dead motor into the boot, WITHOUT removing the roof, in around 45 minutes. The modification takes up ZERO usable boot space, and is invisible once done. Having the motor in the boot means it will NEVER get wet again, it also means that you can check & top up the oil if needed in minutes, whereas before, you guessed it - The roof had to come off to even do this!

To date, I have done over 1000 of these, and approx 95% were not working at all when they came to me. I have successfully revived EVERY SINGLE ONE and sent the owners away happy with a fully working roof!

Even if your roof is working now, it is a good idea to have the motor moved to the boot, to prevent future problems! ~Don't forget, a motor that has been relocated safely in the boot and can therefore NEVER get wet is a good selling point for prospective purchasers!

The price for removing, refurbishing and relocating a motor, including an oil top up if required, and a trim panel to cover it is £195 all in.

I am located in WA12, 5 mins from M6J23 and the job takes around 45 mins max.

I can do these either through the week or at weekends on an appointment basis, regardless of the weather.
